Conquently, one transmission window 4a is removed and copper 15 compod of only the isotope of the solidified <63>Cu is positioned into a discharge tube 1, the transmission window 4a is mounted in an airtight manner again, and the inside of the discharge tube 1 is decompresd at specified pressure while a buffer gas is introduced and discharge is started between discharge electrodes 10, 11. Copper 15 is vaporized by the discharge and the vaporized copper is excited by discharge as a lar medium, and lar oscillation is conducted. Accordingly, isotope shift is removed by employing copper consisting of a single isotope, thus reducing spectral band width.
