PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual patient system and the like which allows personal information to be ud as academic information uful for rearch and clinical application in a form with privacy protected.
SOLUTION: A virtual patient engine 4 ensures curity of information by prohibiting update of personal information related to a predetermined person on this virtual patient system 1 when, for instance, information relating to the death of the person is received via a network N. The virtual patient engine 4 generate academic information by deleting information allowing a person having received permission from the person in question before his or her death to be identified from the person's personal information, and provides the academic information to, for instance, a terminal or the like of a ur registered in advance via the network N.
