1. Life Struggle----
Once upon a time in a land far far away, there was a wonderful old man who loved everything. Animals, spiders,
One day while walking through the woods the nice old man found a cocoon of a butterfly. He took it home.
A few days later, a small opening appeared; he sat and watched the butterfly for veral
hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Then it emed to stop making any progress. It appeared as if it had gotten as far as it could and it could go no farther.
Then the man decided to help the butterfly, so he took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon.
The butterfly then emerged easily.
But it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man continued to watch the butterfly becau he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand to be able to support the body, which would contract in time. Neither happened! In fact, the butterfly spent the rest of its life crawling around with a swollen body and shriveled wings.
It never was able to fly.
What the man in his kindness and haste did not understand was that the restricting c
ocoon and the struggle required for the butterfly to get through the tiny opening were Nature's way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings so that it would be ready for flight once it achieved its freedom from the cocoon.
Sometimes struggles are exactly what we need in our life. If we were allowed to go through our life without any obstacles, it would cripple us. We would not be as strong as what we could have been.
And we could never fly.
I have a friend named Monty Roberts who owns a hor ranch in San Sedro. He has let me u his hou to put on fund-raising events to rai money for youth at risk programs.
The last time I was there he introduced me by saying, "I want to tell you why I let Jack u my hou. It all goes back to a story about a young man who was the son of an itinerant hor trainer who would go from farm and ranch-to-ranch, training hors. As a result, the boy's high school career was asked to write a paper about what he wanted to be and do when he grew up.
"That night he wrote a ven-page paper describing his goal of someday owning a hor ranch. He wrote about his dream in great detail and he even drew a diagram of a 200-acre ranch, showing the location of all the buildings, the stables and the track. Then he drew a detailed floor plan for a 4,000-square-foot hou that would sit on the 200-acre dream ranch.
He put a great deal of his heart into the project and the next day he handed it in to his teacher. Two days later he received his paper back. On the front page was a large red F with a note that read, 'See me after class.'
"The boy with the dream went to e the teacher after class and asked, 'Why did I receive an F?'
"The teacher said, 'this is an unrealistic个性签名句子 dream for a young boy like you. You have no money. You come from an itinerant family. You have no resources. Owning a hor ranch requires a lot of money. You have to buy the land. You have to pay for the original breeding stock and later you'll have to pay large stud fees. There's no way you could ever do it.' Then the teacher added, 'If you will rewrite this paper with a more realistic goal, I will rewrite this paper with a more realistic goal, I will reconsider your grade.'
