Act I
Scene 1
The stage is t in a cozy living room, with a fire burning in the fireplace. The room is decorated for the Christmas ason, with a tree in the corner and stockings hanging from the mantle. The sound of carolers singing can be heard outside.
Enter TOM and LUCY, a young couple.
TOM: (looking out the window) Listen to the carolers, Lucy. They sound so lovely.
LUCY: (snuggling up to Tom) Yes, they do. It's so nice to be inside where it's warm and cozy, though.

Enter JIM, Tom's best friend.

JIM: (holding up a bottle) I brought some eggnog. I thought we could have a drink and catch up.
LUCY: (smiling) That sounds great.
Scene 2
The three friends sit around the fire, sipping eggnog and chatting.
TOM: (laughing) Did I tell you guys about the time Lucy tried to make Christmas cookies?

JIM: (smiling) No, what happened?
TOM: (grinning) Let's just say they were burnt.
LUCY: (rolling her eyes) They were not that bad.

TOM: (turning to Lucy) Did you have a good time tonight?
LUCY: (snuggling up to Tom) I did. It was nice to have some company.
TOM: (smiling) I'm glad. I always have a good time with you.
LUCY: (blushing) You're such a sweet talker.
TOM: (kissing Lucy on the forehead) And you're the love of my life.
The two cuddle up together and fall asleep, the fire casting a warm glow over the room.。
