用作硝酸纤维素、喷漆、快干漆、清漆的溶剂,用作油漆、油墨的溶剂及染料分散剂

健康危害: 吸入可能致命。会抑制中枢神经系统,高浓度可能造成头痛、恶心等。极高浓度可能造成意识丧失甚至死亡。动物实验中,可能损害生殖系统。
【消防】危险特性: 蒸气及液体可燃,灭火时可能遭遇之特殊危害:1. 蒸气会蓄积在低洼处。2. 火场中的密闭容器加热可能破裂。
