My dad took off most of his vacation time for the year to act in Master of None. So I’m really relieved this all worked out.
On Tuesday night, after we did Colbert together he said: “This is all fun and I liked acting in the show, but I really just did it so I could spend more time with you.”
I almost instantly collapd into tears at the thought of how much this person cares about me and took care of me and gave me everything to give me the amazing life I have. I felt lik
e a total piece of garbage for all the times I haven’t visited my parents and told them I wanted to stay in New York becau I’d get bored in San Francisco.
I’m an incredibly lucky person and many of you are as well. 唐诗Not to beat a dead hor here and sorry if this is too ntimental(多愁善感的), but if your parents are good to you too, just go do something nice for them. I bet they care and love you more than you realize.
I’ve been responsible for the Parents episode of our show. What’s strange is doing that episode and working with my parents has incread the quality of my relationship to my parents in my real life.
In reality, I haven’t always had the best, most open relationship with my parents becau we are strangely clod off emotionally sometimes. But we are getting better. And if you have something like that with your family—I urge you to work at it and get better becau the are special people in your life and I get terrified when my dad tells me about friends of his, people clo to his age, that are having rious health issues, etc.
Enjoy and love the people while you can.
Anyway, this show and my experiences with my parents while working on it have been very important in many ways and I thank the part you all have played in it.

Mobile payment technology has indeed made life convenient for people, but it has also given the country’s anti-corruption(反腐) watchdog a headache. For example, anti-corruption agencies fear WeChat hongbao (red envelope), or the small amounts of lucky money people nd through the Internet rvice portal of Tencent Inc, could have opened another door for officials to take bribes(贿赂).
The rvice is an online extension of the traditional gifting of hongbao to relatives and friends during Spring Festival. By simply linking a debit card with your WeChat account, you can nd a digital hongbao to any relative or friend in your contact group.
试用期延长The rvice became a huge hit during the Spring Festival in February this year with millions of people frantically tapping on their mobile phone screens to nd small amounts of money to their relatives and friends.

Anti-corruption officials point out that, thanks to this new digital payment technology, people can now nd money to officials through cell phones instead of carrying large bags of gifts and knocking on officials’ doors. In fact, the Central Commission for Disciplin
e Inspection, the country’s top anti-corruption watchdog, has repeatedly warned officials to not fall in the corruption trap by accepting red envelopes or other types of gifts through the Internet.
Expectedly, the authorities' warnings triggered heated online discussions, with some saying it would be stupid of people to bribe officials through digital red envelope becau the 200-yuan ($31) cap on such transfers and the daily transfer limit of 8,000 yuan would force a person to spend nearly two weeks to transfer 100,000 yuan.
Of cour, 200 yuan is not a “皮包保养decent bribe” for even the lowest-level officials, and nobody would be expected to nd a large amount to an official through hundreds of hongbao.
