形容词比较级和最高级的讲解与作业
柏拉图理想国一．规则变化如下:
1) 单音节形容词的比较级和最高级形式是在词尾加-er 和-est 构成。
great –greater – greatest
2) 以-e 结尾的单音节形容词的比较级和最高级是在词尾加-r 和-st 构成。
wide – wider - widest
4) 以辅音字母加y结尾的形容词的比较级和最高级是把–y改为i，再加er或est
happy – happier - happiest
5)以重读闭音节结尾且末尾只有一个辅音字母的形容词的比较级和最高级是双写该辅音字母然后再加-er和-est。
big – bigger- biggest
6) 部分双音节和多音节形容词的比较级和最高级需用more 和most 加在形容
词前面来构成。
Serious – more rious – most rious
Beautiful – more beautiful – most beautiful
常用的不规则变化的形容词的比较级和最高级:
原级------比较级------最高级
good------better------best
many / much ------more------most
little -----less ------least
bad / ill------wor------worst
far------farther, further------farthest, furthest
形容词前如加less 和least 则表示"较不"和"最不"
important 重要less important 较不重要least important 最不重要
二、句型结构
1、A + be + 形容词比较级+ than + B
Tom is taller than Peter.汤姆比皮特更高。

Tom runs faster than Peter.汤姆比皮特跑得更快。

句型转换：
A + be + 形容词比较级+ than + any other + 名词单数。
A + be + 形容词比较级+ than + that/ tho + ……（比较对象相同）
Tom is taller than any other student in his class.
汤姆比班里任何学生都高。
The air in the countryside is fresher than that in the city.
乡村的空气比城市的空气更清新。
4. A + 谓语动词+ (the)+ 副词最高级+of all /of范围/in范围
Tom runs the fastest of all / of the students / in his class.
5. 用于修饰比较级和最高级的词：much, a little, a lot, even等。
6. 比较级+ and + 比较级：越来越……

7. the + 比较级, the + 比较级：越……，越……
The more, the better. 越多越好。
8、如果在两者之间表示“最……”时要在比较级前加the，而且还用of the two, of
the pair短语：
John is the clever of the two boys.
三、形容词、副词原级比较：
1、as…as…结构：as + 形容词/副词原级+ as
You’re a boy as good as Tom.=You’re as good a boy as Tom.
你和汤姆是一样好的孩子。
2、(1)too…to与so…that sb.can’t…的句型转换：前者为简单句，主语只有一个，
而后者为复合句，主语有两个，试比较：
The man was too angry to be able to speak.
The man was so angry that he wasn’t able to speak.
处理怎么读
The milk was too hot to drink.
The milk was so hot that we can’t drink it.
(2) too…to…与not enough to句型的转换：
He is too young to get married.=He is not old enough to get married.
The book is too difficult for me to read. =
The book is not easy enough for me to read.
