Should Smoking Be Banned?
小暑养生It has been estimated that smokers have made up half of the population in China. And the smokers are becoming younger and younger, even including some middle school students. So should smoking be banned? Answers to this question vary greatly.
Some people are in favor of the idea of smoking. They always say that it can get rid of tiredness, which makes them refreshed. Even some students smoke as they think it is fashionable. What’s more, giving and being given cigarettes is a sign of friendship. Therefore, they carry cigarettes with them wherever they go.
However, other people consider it very harmful to people’s health. First of all, smoking is not healthy, leading to lung cancer, damage organs, and weaken the immune system. In addition, smoking pollutes the air and may cau fire accidents. Thus it has become a major threat to people’s life and property.
There is some truth in both arguments, but human’s life and property outweighs anything el. All in all, smoking should be banned for the sake of all people’s benefits.
