Abstract:As we all know,body language is the natural language,and it is very important. Body language is the unspoken communicate tho goes on in every face-to-face encounter with another human being. It tells you someone’s true feelings towards you and how well your words are being
酸水果received. Between 60-80% of our message is communicated through our body language,only 7-10% is attributable to the actual words of a conversation. Body language is widely ud in Eveready‘s life. Body language is a means of nonverbal communication often found in the communication of mankind. As the society is developing, people communicate more and more frequently, therefore, the messages conveyed by body language become more and more important in human communication. Thus, it is necessary to study body language in order to develop more feasible human communication skills. The paper makes a preliminary study on body language, the most important part of nonverbal communicati
on. It begins with the definition of body language and through the analysis of some examples it illustrates and the importance of body language in nonverbal communication. This paper tries to compare cultural differences of body language between English and Chine, which might be helpful to people to reduce or avoid misunderstanding arising from cultural differences of body language in cross - culture communication.

And as many of us cross over cultural borders, it would be fitting for us to respect, learn, and understand more about the effective, yet powerful “silent language" of gestures.
