B: That’s uful. You know what. You remind me of something. In China, we usually greet people with the question “Have you eaten?” But when one of my friends was in Britain, he also asked foreigners this question, and they thought that he wanted to invite them to ha
ve lunch and they happily accepted it.

8. A good manager =A good leader?
A: hi, B.
B: Nice to e you! I hear that you had a fierce debate in your English class. What was it about?
A: About whether a good manager can also be a good leader. What do you think?
B: that depends. Indeed, the skills to be a leader or a manager are not exclusive in nature. A leader who only displays leadership skills will be ineffective when it comes to the detail things such as scheduling employee vacation time. Similarly, a manager who spends all his/her time completing paperwork and reading reports; only creates more problems becau they lack a developing relationship with their employees.
