(2)They soon know that they will grow up, and(3) the way Wendy knew was this.(4) One day when she was two years old she was playing in a garden, and (5)she plucked another flower and ran with it to her mother. (6)I suppo she must have looked rather delightful, (7)for Mrs. Darling put her hand to her heart and cried, (8)"Oh, why can't you remain like this for ever!" (9)This was all that pasd between them on the subject, (10)but henceforth Wendy knew that she must grow up. (11)You always know after you are two. (12)Two is the beginning of the end.

(5)He got all of her, except the innermost box and the kiss. (6)He never knew about the box, and in time he gave up trying for the kiss. (7)Wendy thought Napoleon could have got it, (8)but I can picture him trying, and then going off in a passion, slamming the door.

(1)达林先生是这样娶得她的:当她还是一个女孩子的时候,(2)有许多先生们那时不过是些男孩子,(3)他们同时发现他们都爱她,(4)除了达林先生以外他们全都跑到她家里去求婚,谢宥慧(5)而达林先生却雇了一辆车,(6)先到了,于是他娶得了她。(7)他整个的得到了她,(8)除去她的最内层的心匣和她嘴上的那一吻。(9)他从来就不知道那心匣,(10)至于那一吻,他日久也就灰心了。(11)文黛想拿破仑大概可以得到那一吻,(12)不过据我悬想,可以想见他试求接吻的样子,(13)一定是终于盛怒而去,(14)砰的一声把门合上。

    (1)Mrs. Darling was married in white, (2)and at first she kept the books perfectly, (3)almost gleefully, (4)as if it were a game, (5)not so much as a Brusls sprout was missing; (6)but by and by whole cauliflowers dropped out, (7)and instead of them there were pictures of babies without faces. (8)She drew them when she should have been totting up. (9)They were Mrs. Darling's guess.
