When I was a teenager (青少年), I became interested in music. I can still remember listening to my father playing the piano for hours. I ud to give mylf concerts in my bedroom.
I raid (养育) my kids with a lot of music, too. The first song my oldest son learned was sung by the Carpenters. My oldest daughter would dance happily when she heard Abba’s Thank You for the Music. We would sing different songs to each other. It usually lasted for about an hour each night before they went to sleep.
Now I am a grandmother and music still plays an important part in our family’s everyday life. My youngest grandson loves music very much! He has his own CD player in his room. When we play the one that he likes best, he will jump up and down.
Someone once asked me if music says things that words can’t. At first, I would say no. Then I remembered Grand Canyon Suite and some other music. They are so good and I
can’t express (表达) mylf when I listen to them. So, yes, music can say things that words can’t.
