选修七第二模块是有关美国学校生活的话题。我当时所任教的班级恰巧在高二上学期有部分学生到韩国进行为期一周的游学,所以学生们对本单元的话题十分感兴趣。本教材是学生进入高二后第二学期使用,此时的学生对高中生活和同学之间都非常熟悉,学习状态也处于一个较稳定的阶段,英语语言知识也有了良好的储备,所以课堂中的讨论具有可操作性和有效性,并且本节课为一篇关于美国学校生活的阅读材料新授课。据此,我将此节课设计成了一节以讨论、升华对东西方校园文化的接纳态度为主线的精泛结合阅读课。
Book 7 Module 2 Highlights of My Senior Year效果分析
本节课采用板块式问题组教学模式,以小组合作和任务式教学方法,利用多媒体、黑板、导学案为教学工具,在学生中有很好的反响。在课上老师的引导下,学生们经过阅读和讨论,提升了学生泛读能力,并通过小组讨论总结,由学生自己提炼出了如何表达个人观点的语句。在之后的学生对自己高中生活亮点的分享环节中,在老师的示范后,学生们能够运用提炼出的语句表达自己对同学作品的个人观点,讨论气氛热烈。通过最后的拓展阅读,在老师的协助下,学生们感受到了对中美校园文化都应该采取接纳包容的态度,对校园文化的情感态度及东西方文化间的融合的人生上有所提升。

本课的阅读材料是本模块课本中的主要阅读材料,相关知识点,语法及重点语句等都出现在本篇课文中,所以是本模块必须要学习的主要材料。该阅读材料对美国学校生活进行描述,介绍学校俱乐部以及课外活动的形式和内容,进行中美学校文化的对比,进一步增强学生对学校的热爱。
本课教学的重点是帮助学生理解含有本模块所学词语和结构的句子、段落;能熟练说出含有主语从句、表语从句和表示想法意见功能的句子、段落。本课的教学难点是通过阅读练
习,提高逻辑思维能力,以及对语言结构进行理解分析的能力;通过对主语从句、表语从句的复习和运用,提高理论和实践结合的能力;运用表达思想和意见功能的表达法进行对话,介绍自己生活中的亮点,学会表达对学校生活的喜爱和不喜爱。
本部分内容分两个课时:第一课时:Reading and Vocabulary and Speaking 第二课时:Language points and Writing 第一课时为阅读和口语课,第二课时为语言点学习和写作课。
