Some scientists say that animals in the oceans are increasingly threatened by noi pollution caud by human beings.
The noi that affects a creatures comes from a number of human activities。It is caud mainly by industrial underwater explosions，ocean drilling and ship engines.Such nois are added to natural sounds.The sounds include the breaking of ice fields，教育格言幼儿教师underwater earthquakes，and sounds made by animals themlves.
Decibels （分贝） measured in water are different from tho measured on land。A noi of one hundred and twenty decibels on land caus pain to human ears。In water,a decibel level of one hundred and ninety.five would have the same effect。
