Nature has provided us with many kinds of resources. Almost everything we u in our everyday life comes from Nature. The food we eat, the water we drink, the clothes we wear, the concrete and bricks to build our hous, the materials to make bikes we ride, etc. all come originally from Nature.
鲁豫为什么那么瘦People have been making u of the natural supplies for thousands of years. With the development of technology and the increa of the population, the amount and range of materials taken has incread. It is estimated that this tread will continue in the years to come.
However, natural resources are not in exhaustible. Some resources are already nearly ud up. For example, the end of the world’s fuel is already within sight. Such an esntial daily item as water is in short supply in many parts of the world. We can no longer thoughtlessly u the many resources provided by Nature. We must learn to conrve what remains.

And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

d take the place of her. Cherish every single moment together with her. Though at times she may not be the best of friends, she may not agree to our thoughts, she is still your mother!
Your mother will be there for you; to listen to your sorrows, your frustrations, etc. Ask yourlf “Have you put aside enough time for her, to listen to her ‘blues’ of working in the kitchen, her tiredness?”

Do not take for granted the things clost to your heart. Love her more than you love yourlf, for life is meaningless without her.
4、Pines
The pine, placed nearly always among scenes disordered and desolate, bring into them all possible elements of order and precision. Lowland trees may lean to this side and that,
though it is but a meadow breeze that bends them or a bank of cowslips from which their trunks lean aslope. But let storm and avalanche do their worst, and let the pine find only a ledge of vertical precipice to cling to, it will nevertheless grow straight. Thrust a rod from its last shoot down the stem; it shall point to the center of the earth as long as the tree lives. It may be well also for lowland branches to reach hither and thither for what they need, and to take all kinds of irregular shape and extension. But the pine is trained to need nothing and endure everything. It is resolvedly whole, lf-contained, desiring nothing but rightness, content with restricted completion. Tall or short, it will be straight.
5、An Hour Before Sunri
An hour before sunri in the city there is an air of cold. Solitary desolation about the noiless streets, which we are accustomed to e thronged at other times by a busy, eager crowd, and over the quiet, cloly shut buildings which throughout the day are warming with life. The drunken, the dissipated, and the criminal have disappeared; the more sober and orderly part of the population have not yet awakened to the labors of the
day, and the stillness of death is over streets; its very hue ems to be imparted to them, cold and lifeless as they look in the gray, somber light of daybreak. A partially opened bedroom window here and there bespeaks the heat of the weather and the uneasy slumbers of its occupant; and the dim scanty flicker of a light through the blinds of yonder windows denotes the chamber of watching and sickness. Save for that sad light, the streets prent no signs of life, nor the hous of habitation. (166 words)
