Unit 2 Lesson 1 Modern Heroes

一.教材分析

本课是第2单元第1课的第1菩提老祖是谁课时，是一节阅读课。本单元的中心话题是“英雄”，学生会学习到关于英雄的很多种话题，诸如宇航员，历史缔造者，体育明星和电影明星。本课主要介绍了现代民族英语-----第一位飞天宇航员杨利伟和“神舟5号”任务执行的过程。课文较简短，理解难度也不大，通过介绍飞天过程复习一般过去时和过去进行时两种时态，并让学生体会宇航员的太空探险和献身精神。本课在本单元中起着过渡作用，为后面学习更多的英雄人物，更好地理解和体会“英雄”这一概念做铺垫。

二.学情分析

市场调研问题

1. 高一的学生正处于初高中转型阶段，初、高中知识有待衔接，学习方法也很不一样，故心理波动较大，学习较被动，但可塑性较强，学习热情很高。

2. 学生对初中阶段的语言知识掌握得较牢固，有一定的听、说、读、写的能力，但自主学习和综合语言运用能力较弱。

3. 学生通过前一单元的学习，初步了解了一些听、说、读、写等方面的学习策略，如预测、背景知识、小组活动等。有了一定的获取信息、处理信息、分析问题和解决问题的能力。

三.教学目标

1.语言知识目标：学会与spaceship有关的词汇和短语；更好掌握一般过去时态和过去进行时态。

2.语言技能目标：能理解课文内容和结构，在阅读中运用scanning, skimming, reading and answering questions等阅读技能；能通过角色扮演说出杨利伟飞天的过程。

3.学习策略目标：学生能在一定程度上形成自主学习的习惯，提高用英语获取信息和处理信息的能力。

4.情感态度目标：能了解人类太空探险家的优秀品质和献身精神；能自觉向英雄学习，逐步形成学好英语的毅力和克服困难的意志；能增强对祖国的自豪感和激发强烈的爱国情怀。

Step 2 New words learning	Students learn the new words with the help of some pictures or some ntences. 3mins	通过图片和上下文语境来学习单词，能让学生更好地掌握新词。
Step 3 General reading	Students go through the passage and match the six headings with paragraphs.(Handout Ex2) 3mins	大意匹配能培养学生扫读的能力，快速掌握文章大意和结构。
Step 4 Detailed reading	1. Students find out information about what the numbers stand for and they are guided to summarize the general idea of the text with the information they find.(Handout Ex3) 4mins 2. Students are guided to summarize Past Simple and Past Continuous. 3mins	1、列出数字让学生找相关信息能很好培养学生快速寻读获取信息能力；用这些信息概括文章大意能很好地训练学生处理信息的能力； 2、让学生以小组竞赛的形式找出航天过程的细节，并用表格的形式呈现出来，让学生对课文有更直观更系统的认识； 2、引导学生归纳并总结语法现象，培养学生自主学习的能力；
快活近义词 Step 5 多少遗憾Summary	Students listen to the Mp3 of the text and complete the summary of the text.(Handout Ex5) 4mins	听课文录音（获取信息），填课文总结（处理信息），再一次熟悉课文内容。而且设计要填的词基本上是动词，巩固了过去时态。
Step6 Role play-interview	Students work in pairs and suppo one is Yang Liwei, and the other a reporter from CCTV. Some questions in Chine are provided. (Handout Ex6) 6mins	信息输出，把一般过去时和过去进行时运用到实际对话中；给出中文为题的提示，训练了高考新题型。把这些问题的答案串起来便是一篇以杨利伟的名义写的文章，为后面的写作部分做铺垫。
Step 7 Writing湖南卫视回放	Students write a passage about the space flight experience in the name of Yang Liwei. 5mins	信息输出，对课文内容进行归纳，让学生对全文进行回顾，并对以后学生写经历有指导作用
