1. 定义:The bill of lading (B/L) , issued by the carrier or his agent to the shipper, rves as a receipt for goods,(货物收据an evidence of the contract of carriage(运输合同的证明), and a document of title to the goods(物权凭证).

Note: 关于提单缮制的详细说明如下:
No.1.Shipper 托运人:托运人一般是出口商,除非信用证另有规定。
No.2.Consignee 收货人:也叫提单的抬头。在信用证支付方式下,收货人一般做成指示抬头,凭托运人或开证行指示,要严格按照信用证的要求缮制。参见“指示提单“。
No.3. Notify Party被通知人:被通知人一般是进口方,有时是货代 或者开证行,必须按照信用证的规定填写。船到港后,船公司会寄Arrival Notice 给被通知人,故地址和公司名称必须正确完整。如果Consignee 和 Notify Party 是同一个公司,可在此栏缮制“SAME” 或”CONSIGNEE”的字样。
No.7 and No. 8 Loading Port and Unloading Port: 意义不言而喻。但来证规定:”China Port“ or “ European Main Port”, 应列出具体港口名。
如需要转运到内陆城市,如“Marilles in transit to Geneva”,到货港填“Marilles”,在货名或唛头栏内注上:”In transit to Geneva”.又如北美加拿大地区,来证规定:Los Angeles O.C.P. Chicago (Overland Common Points 内陆地区),到货港制“Los Angeles O.C.P.”
在货名或唛头栏内注”O.C.P. Chicago”。如经转船,在卸货港加注:“Rotterdam W/T at Hongkong”。
No.4, No.5 和 No. 9 主要用于Combined Bill of Lading。
.如货物从石家庄运到天津装船,“Pre-carriage by : By train”,"Place of Receipt::Shijiazhuang”, ”Place of Delivery 是联合运输的终点站,故如目的地港是最终目的地,可以不填。
No.11 Nos. of Containers or Packages 集装箱数量或包装件数: 是指集装箱内全部包装(Cartons, Sacks or Boxes)的件数。
如不同的包装,应列明件数和包装种类,加以合计。  100 Cartons

No.10. Marks & Nos. Container/Seal Nos. 唛头,集装箱号和铅封号
Shipping Mark 应根据信用证的要求制作,或“N/M”。集装箱号为4个字母加7位数字。
No.12 Description of Goods 货物描述::如果发票货名过细或过多,可概括其货物的统称。但不能与发票的货名相悖。
集装箱运输,常在空白处加注,e.g. 整箱 . “ 1 X 20 ′FCL      或拼箱“1 X 20′LCL

No.13 Gross weight No.14 Measurement 一般只填货物的总毛重和总体积,可根据Packing List 的数据填制。
No.15 该栏下用大写填写包装件数。e.g.” SAY ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY PACKAGES ONLY.”
No.16 Freight and charge海运费:一般只填运费的支付状况,如“Freight Prepaid” or “Freight to Collect 提单空白处一般还要有“Shipped on Board”的字样,多用承运人
或其代理的业务简章加盖。
No.17 Place and Date of Issue 提单的签署地点和时间是非常重要的,它表示货物的装港和船期,多用橡皮图章。并应带有“ON BOARD”的字样。
常见发货人为了满足信用证的要求,向船方提供担保函以伪造船期,如倒签提单(Anti-dated B/L),予借提单(Advance B/L)。此举多为不得已,有风险。
No.18 提单的签署: 承运人( As Carrier) 或承运人代理(As Agent of the Carrier)的签章,多用带有船公司或代理人名称的橡皮章,并附有签字。
2. 省略号在键盘上怎么打Different types of the B/L 不同名称的提单

2.1 The Clean Bill of Lading(清洁提单 bears an indication that the goods were received without damages, irregularities or short shipment, usually the words "apparent good order and condition", "clean on board" or the like are indicated on the B/L. The Foul Bill of Lading古兵  (不清洁提单) ---Unclean Bill of Lading, or Claud Bill of Lading--
-It bears an indication that the goods were received with damages, irregularities or short shipment, usually the words "unclean on board" or the like are indicated on the B/L, for example, "insufficient packing", "missing safety al" and "one carton short".
2.2 In a Long Form Bill of Lading (全式提单) the terms and conditions of carriage are printed on the rever (back) of the bill of lading. The long form bill of lading is commonly ud in international shipping.( Refer to : Short Form Bill of Lading(简式提单)
2.3 The On board Bill of Lading (已装船提单)---Shipped Bill of Lading---proves that the goods have been shipped, as evidenced by the pre-printed wording or the on board notation (e.g. "on board", "laden on board" or "shipped on board"计生协会工作总结) on the bill of lading.

2.4 In a Straight Bill of Lading(记名提单)---Non-negotiable Bill of Lading(不可转让的提单)---the title to the goods is given directly to a party named in the letter of credit (the importer usually), as such the title to the goods is not transferable to another party by endorment. In other words, the bill of lading is not negotiable
