教材分析:
本单元是初中英语新教材九年级英语上册第四单元,本单元的核心话题为“talk about what you ud to be like”,围绕着谈论过去自己和他人过去经常做的事,谈论自己和他人过去的外貌\性格\爱好,以观察图片、听力理解、阅读理解等训练方式和独立学习、合作交流、完成任务等形式完成目标语言的输入,学习句型ud to 为主要学习任务,并且设置任务型综合性语言实践活动,让学生在交际活动中,学会如何正确地用英语表达自己的意见和建议,重在培养学生的习得语言运用能力、实践能力、合作能力及创新意识。
学情分析安全大于天
在学习本单元之前,本年级学生已经学习过了一些描写人物外貌的词汇和句型。对于本单元
的学习,大部分学生已经有了一定的学习基础, 但由于学生自觉性差,很少能够自觉做好课前预习和课后复习,所以课前可以给些时间让他们熟悉下本节课的内容。
教学目标
知识和技能目标:
1.要记住的单词:influence,ldom,proud,abnt,fail,examination,boarding,exactly,pride,grandson
2.会使用的短语:be proud of,take pride in,in person
3.学会使用重点句型:
(1)He was often abnt from class, and he failed his examination.
(2)They would take pride in /be proud of everything good that I did.

宽容心态的感悟
我们身边的人和事都是不断发展变化的,随着深入学习,我们也应该不断增长知识,健全自己的人格,完善自己。

人中短的男人(1)进一步熟悉ud to的用法,并能灵活应用。
(2)从文中感受到爱的力量的伟大,感受自己父母对自己的爱,并能为此而做出改变。

Play the song Proud of You of Joey Yung (容祖儿《挥着翅膀的女孩》)as the background music. Prent new words and let some students read and memorize them.

Ss:Yes, Joey Yong.
T:Can you sing the song?(T lead the song)

T:From the first paragraph we can feel that Joey maybe feel lonely and unhappy. Everyone may have some problems in our lives .Can you tell your partner about a time your parents helped you with a problem? Make notes about what your parents says.

1.Fast reading

Can you find and underline them?
And can you find out how his parents helped him with the problems?
Read the text as fast as you can to find out the answers?
2.Detailed reading
Read the article carefully,,complete 2c and 2d.
Let Ss pay attention to the note---USING CONTEXT,,and tell them how to u context.
3.Listen and read

Read the article loudly. T inspect around the classroom and help the Ss solve the difficulties in reading.
4.Rearch on reading
Find out some ntences that are difficult or important for you. Discuss them in your group.
Let some of the students show their ntences, explain the difficulties if necessary.
