Pediatrics is a subject which deals with the growth and development of children, improves their physical and mental health, and is a compulsory cour for the Faculty of Medicine. In the prent scientific development, each subject is finely divided, to produce fine and intensified professional in this field is the teaching objective of pediatrics.
The Elective period for the pediatric trainee is the starting point of the clinical practice and is the transition from a theoretical study to clinical practice. In this period, bedside teaching method can enhance the theoretical knowledge which they've already learned in the classroom and form a horizontal linkage between theory and clinical thinking which helps them making a step towards the clinical thinking. The so-called clinical thinking is the u of the available perceptual information about the dia (including history, physical signs and laboratory examinations), along with onc^s knowledge and experience combined with scientific co-thinking approach to analyze the initial impression of dia and its continuous revision. As an important part of undergraduate medical educ
ation, clinical pediatric trainees is also a comprehensive range of quality education, its goal is to train clinical pediatric trainees for the International Medical Education special committee established ”Global minimum basic requirements n of the basic qualities, including medical knowledge, clinical skills, professional attitude, and professional ethics, etc. .Besides to grasp core knowledge, basic knowledge of medical equipment and medical skills, the student must have the special skills of the medical requirements such as effective communication skills, team work, Professional ethics, Self-evaluation and lf-directed learning.

1.Students should interrelate the curriculum and clinical practice.

3.Familiar with the inquiring medical history and doing physical examination correctly; familiar with writing pediatric history.
4.To master symptoms and signs of pediatric common dias. Improve the skill of history collecting, diagno and differential diagnosis.

3.Teaching contents
3・1 Requirements in ward
During the two weeks of pediatric Trainee, each student need to in charge two patients. When daily ward round student should be aware of their charging patienfs condition. They should learn how to obrve patients. General tests should be taken
too. Every student is required to write a complete medical record.
3・2 Requirements in outpatient department
3.2.1 Learning to write outpatient medical records (first and subquent consultation).

Familiar nursing manipulation such as PPD skin test, intramuscular injection, scalp vein injection, jugular vein and femoral vein blood drawing. Bone marrow puncture, lumbar puncture, pleural puncture can also be taught if the conditions is allowed.
