教材和教学对象分析
本课利用的教材是《新编职教英语》第一册,是由南通市省级以上重点职业中学联合开发、供本市职业学校高一就业班第一学期利用的校本教材。
职业学校就业班的学生,大多数文化基础比较薄弱。这些学生普遍没有在初中学校里取得一样人们以为的成功,并因此缺乏学习的踊跃性、自信心。本着让学生学得适宜,学出自信的目的,《新编职教英语》的内容、结构、难度充分考虑到学生能同意的程度,做到以有效为本,以够用为度。
就本课内容而言,“借书”这一对话情景本是学生应该比较熟悉的校园生活,但就业班的学生好动手的多,爱念书的少,到图书馆借书的体会有限。通过本课的学习,他们能够了解借书的大体常识。希望在教师的引导下,他们能遵守借书的规章制度,多念书,爱念书。
本单元的重点是:了解借书的大体常识,牢固把握与本单元主题“借书”紧密相关的4个关键句,明白得并演出对话,学会在真实情景中熟练运用关键句,并增强纪律观念,同时达到用英语进行简单交际的教学目的。

是延续性动词,可以与表示一段时间的状语(如how long, for two weeks等)连用。
borrow, return, renew, buy等是短暂性动词,不可以与表示时间段的状语连用。又如:
When did you buy your car? —Last November. I have kept it for almost a year.
3.or 表示转折,意为“否则;要不然”。又如:
Bring your library card with you, or you cant borrow any books.
Be sure to bring your library card with you, or you cant renew any books.
Wear your coat, or you will be cold.
如果没有转折意义,就用and。如:
Keep on learning, and youll succeed.
4.What if? 这是一句式,意为“如果……怎么办?”又如:
What if I miss the train? You have to buy another ticket.
What if they do not come? You can telephone them again.
