3.06" 15M SIDE DOOR STRIPPER PACKER
The Texas Oil Tools DSH Side Door Stripper Packer is the latest innovation in TOT’s commitment to coiled tubing technology. This 15M design now joins the field proven 10M model relead in 1996. Like all of TOT’s side door models the packing elements and bushings can be replaced through the open door below the injector. Changing packers is easy through the side door even with tubing in the well.
求职信300字The DSH model has an incread open door length (7.0") to simplify the installation of hang-off slips that eliminates the need for a parate window. Removal of the packers and bushings leaves a full 3.06" diameter through bore for passage of larger tools.
Hydraulic pressure is required to open the packer cylinder exposing the packer, non-extrusion ring, and bushings. The piston on the 3.06" DSH model is below the packer element and, therfore, wellbore pressure assists during pack-off.
1.0FEATURES
C Accommodates larger coiled tubing sizes up to 2.375" diameter and includes a full 3.06" diameter
bore with an access door 7.0" long.
C Easy access packer window facilitates packer and bushing replacement with coiled tubing in the
well and simplifies the installation of hang-off slips.
C Low hydraulic pressure is required to pack-off on the coiled tubing.
C Interlock packer is design for improved performance and longer life.

3.0OPERATION
The DSH model side door has two parate hydraulic systems. The main system controls the movement of the piston that packs off around the coiled tubing. The ports for this system are located on the lower flange (retract) and just below the lower flange (pack-off).
The cond system is for opening and closing the window. The ports for this system are located on the upper flange 180E apart. To open the door, manually pull the latch (36) until the doors swing open. When the doors are open, apply hydraulic pressure to the “open door” hydraulic port. This will
move the window up leaving access to the packers and bushings. To clo the window, apply hydraulic pressure to the “clo door” port. The window will move down and bottom out. When the window stops, swing both doors in and make sure the spring loaded lock pin is pushed in. The lock pin prevents the doors from swinging open accidentally. Caution: DO NOT OPERATE THE TOOL WITH THE DOORS OPEN.
Stripping: Prior to using the tool, make sure the packers and bushings are in good condition. The stop guard (doors) are clod, and the well bore al (30) is in good condition. Hook up hos to the packoff and retract ports. Apply hydraulic pressure to the packoff port to initiate the al.
Bushings: The single most frequent cau of premature packer wear or failure is worn bushings.
At very low well pressure and hydraulic pressure, you may be able to u worn bushings. At higher pressures, it is esntial that the non-extrusion ring and upper bushing fit cloly to the tubing to prevent packer extrusion. Bushings must be replaced frequently to minimize the extrusion gap.
To Change Packers: Apply hydraulic pressure to the "open door" hydraulic port located on the upper flange. This will move the packer cylinder sleeve up completely exposing the packer. To prevent accidental opening of the packer cylinder sleeve, a stop guard prevents upward movement of the pa
cker cylinder. Disarming the stop guard requires that the lock pins be retracted, and the stop guard swung outward, clearing the packer cylinder.
The packer is an interlock design with an O.D. of 4.00". This Packer does not require an energizer.
The wear bushings above the packers are extra long for better centering of the coiled tubing and longer wear life.
To Change Primary Seal: Only one al is expod to well pressure. That al is the field proven design ud in the heavy duty hydraulic relea connectors. For insurance, a cond "rerve" al is in place, and can be placed in rvice even with the coiled tubing in the well. If the primary al becomes damaged, cut and remove it, and then slide the fresh rerve al down and into place.
Both the primary, and rerve al can be replaced without disasmbly when the coiled tubing is out of the stripper packer. The primary al is on the bottom and the rerve al is on top. Any al in the top groove will not al due to the pressure bypass port between the two grooves. 4.0SPECIFICATIONS

To change packers: While mounted in the injector and hydraulic pressure is available, retract the lat
ch (36), swing the door (35) to open position. Apply hydraulic pressure to the retract port located on the lower body (22) to move the piston (19) to the maximum downward position. Apply hydraulic pressure to the retract port located on the upper body (4) to move the packer cylinder (12) to the maximum upward position exposing the pack-off asmbly, for removal of the packer (11), non-extrusion ring (10), upper packer bushing (33) and lower packer bushing (13).
To replace all als: Drain all remaining hydraulic fluid from pack-off ports. Remove stripper packer from the injector. Remove retainer ring (16), washer (15) and flange ring (14) from packer cylinder
二甘醇
(12). Remove the end cap (5) from the upper body (4).
To remove the packer cylinder from the top of the unit: The two ¼-20 unc holes in the top of the packer cylinder may help when removing. CAUTION: Take care when removing the packer cylinder
(12) as all I.D. and O.D. surfaces are for aling.
To remove the cylinder head: Begin by removing the ½-13 socket head cap screws with a d allen wrench. Remove the cylinder head (17).
To remove the piston: Drive it out from below. Be careful not to damage the aling surfaces!!
