a little的用法
[一号档案] a little 用作代词,在句中可作主语或宾语.如：
— Would you like some meat ?请你吃些肉好吗?

[二号档案] a little 用作形容词时,用来修饰不行数名词,表示确定意义,意为“一点儿”;假如只用 little 修饰不行数名词,则表示否定意义,意为“几乎没有”.如：
There is little milk in his glass. 他的玻璃杯里几乎没有牛奶.
[三号档案] a little 作副词时,可修饰动词,也可修饰形容词或副词,以及形容词或副词的比较级,表示程度.如：
( 1 ) That child moved a little. 那小孩移动了一点儿.(修饰动词)
( 2 ) I am a little thirsty. 我有点儿渴.(修饰形容词)
( 3 ) The taxi is going a little faster than the tractor.

[特殊档案]使用 a little 时还应留意以下问题：
1. a little 与 a bit 意思虽相同,它们修饰形容词时没有区分,但 a little 可直接修饰名词, a bit 则要后加 of 才能修饰名词.如：
Im a little / a bit thirsty now. And I want to have a little / a bit of tea. 我现在有点儿渴了,想喝点儿茶.
2. not a little 意为“很、特别”,相当于 very ;但“ not a bit = not … at all (根本不)”.如：
Bill is not a little thin. 比尔特别瘦.
Bill is not a bit thin. 比尔根本不瘦.
3. quite a little 意为“许多”,相当于 much ,而不是“很少”.如：
Theres quite a little food on the table. = Theres much food on the table.
桌子上有许多食物.
入学英语 4. a little 若后接单数可数名词时,意为“一个小的……”.如：
There is a little girl under the tree. 树下有一个小女孩.
little与a little用法辨析
little 与 a little 用法特点是，两者都只用于修饰或代替不行数名词，其中little形式上确定，意义上是否定的，其意为“很少”“几乎没有”;a little 表示确定意义，其意为“几个”“一些”。如：
I have little money and few interests. 我没有什么钱，也没有什么爱好。 隋朝皇帝
I have a little money in the bank to fall back on. 我在银行还有一点钱，需要时可以动用。
但是，当little前使用了特指限定词(如定冠词、物主代词等)，则不表否定意义。如：
The little I have is not worth giving. 我那一点点拿不出手。
I hope the little that I’ve done has been uful. 我盼望我所做的一点事情是有用的。
She paid them a generous wage for the little they did. 她为他们的那么一点工作付了很高的工资。
留意，not a little的意思不是“很少”，而是“不少”或“相当多”，它与quite a little, a good little大致同义。如：
It was not a little puzzling. 这很令人迷惑。

a few/few(形容词)用在复数名词之前：
a few people/few people有几个人/没有几个人
这四种形式也都能用做代词使用，或单独使用或与of连用：

把only放在a little/a few之前，是为了强调说话人认为该数量的确很小。

但是把quite放在a few之前就大大增大了这个数量：
