1.frightening adj. 令人惊吓的；惊恐的；可怕的，恐怖的
此词常用来说明事物所具备的特征，类似常见的形容词还有：exciting, interesting, disappointing, puzzling, surprising, moving, boring, pleasing, tiring, worrying, confusing, satisfying, shocking, encouraging, amusing等。Frightened为过去分词，常用来修饰人，作形容词用，类似常见的形容词还有：excited, interested, disappointed, puzzled, surprid, moved, bored, plead, tired, worried, confud, satisfied, shocked, encouraged, amud等。
