My Cherished Gift
Everyone has his or her most cherished gift. My cherished gift is a yellow dress.
I still remember my mother bought it for my 12th birthday. But when I opened the box, it really made me feel embarrasd. To be honest, I thought yellow was really ugly, especially a yellow dress. But I pretended that I liked it becau I knew it would make my mother happy. Even now, though I don’t like yellow, I often wear the yellow dress on formal occasions.
I remember an English saying: It’s the thought that counts. Every time I wear it, I can remember my mother’s love.
