摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain magnetite magnetic powder which is easily manufactured,excellent in electromagnetic properties, large in relative surface area, and therefore
small in average grain diameter. CONSTITUTION:Magnetite magnetic powder is obtained through three process, a pre-treatment process wherein ferrous chloride as starting material is thermally treated in a non-oxidizing atmosphere, a cooling process wherein the material treated in the preceding process is cooled down to a prescribed
temperature in an oxygen-containing atmosphere, and a burning process wherein the cooled material is burned and thermally decompod in a water vapor-containing atmosphere. The obtained magnetite magnetic powder has a specific surface area of 1.0 to 3.0m<2>/g, a saturation magnetization sigmas of 82 to 92emu/g, and a magnetite pha content of 90wt.% or above.
