学情分析
九年级学生学习习惯已基本成形，有较强的自学能力，对中外文化的异同有一定的了解，
并表现出较强的兴趣；绝大部分同学喜欢上网，能通过网络搜索一些有用的信息；能用情态动词should表达看法。
从整体来说，学生的学习积极性还是比较强的，大多数学生学习态度较端正。部分学生学习的兴趣不够浓厚，学习的主动性不强，两极分化现象比较严重，尖子生不够突出。从几次考试的情况看，学生各学科之间发展不平衡，存在着偏科的现象，尤其是英语学科，有一部分学生（特别是男生）英语特别差，独立解决问题的能力也比较差。大部分学生还存在着依赖性，不愿意自己探究知识，没有好的学习习惯，还要教师在今后的学习中进行渗透。
效果分析
本课主要是一节阅读课，在本节课的教学过程中，通过阅读帮助学生掌握知识，各个环节由易到难，环环相扣，面向全体学生，争取让每一个学生都能参与到教学活动中来，得到练习的机会，教学目标圆满完成，大部分学生在这节课后能准确流利的使用所学词汇以及句型，阅读能力及合作学习的能力都有所提高。
电饭锅煮饭教材分析
本课是新目标英语鲁教版九年级第五单元第二课时。
本单元主要是通过对一些国家的风俗习惯，礼仪差异，时间观念和饮食文化的学习，进一步提高学生对文明生活的认识，让学生在了解中外文化的差异中拓展自己的文化视野，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。 本单元围绕You’re suppod to shake hands开展多种教学活动，让学生学会用be suppod to do sth.句型来讨论“应该”和“不应该”。本课时是关于customs的一个阅读材料，是一节阅读课，是在学习了不同国家初次见面的方式和大量的听力训练后展开教学的。通过阅读训练，了解不同国家的时间观念和拜访朋友的风俗习惯，进一步加深对目标语言的理解和运用。
