Let's review the story first，
The King of the Ogres wanted to have the children for dinner. Biff and Lee ran away.
The Ogre and Kipper went to the cave.
Biff and Lee wanted to go and rescue Kipper.
They tiptoed to the entrance of the cave.
"There they are!" cried a gruff voice."they're going into the cave!" Biff and Lee heard a shout.
Then, they ran again.
Finally Lee stopped.
Now Lee was all alone in the dark.

"The King's making shepherd's pie tonight!"
⼀个 ogre 问：第三个孩⼦在哪⾥呢？
国王今晚做牧⽺⼈派！
"Oh no!" thought Lee.
"They're making shepherd'
but they're using Kipper and Biff instead of shepherds!" Lee 想：哦不！
他们在做牧⽺⼈派
但是他们他们⽤ Kipper 和 Biff 代替牧⽺⼈！
Lee ⼀直以为牧⽺⼈派⾥，应该会有牧⽺⼈，
⽽晚餐⾥的那个牧⽺⼈是谁呢？
他以为是 Kipper 和 Biff。

牧⽺⼈派是英国的⼀种传统料理。
传统的牧⽺⼈派是⽤⽜⾁或⽺⾁馅料搭配马铃薯泥制成。我们看⼀下图来感受⼀下，

When the ogres had gone, Lee jumped up.

Finally he saw a faint glow around the next corner.
He could hear the clang of pots and pans being ud.

他听到锅盆被使⽤的哐啷声。
"This must be the kitchen," Lee thought.
He tiptoed forwards.
Lee 想：这⼀定是厨房。
他踮着脚⾛了过去。
tiptoe 是 “脚尖” 的意思，作动词就是，踮着脚⾛、蹑⼿蹑脚的⾛
Lee jumped out in the light of the kitchen and grabed the nearest thing to hand. It was a frying pan.
He waved this around and shouted, "Kipper! Biff! I'm here to save you!"
他跳了出来，来到了厨房的灯光下，⽤⼿抓住了离他最近的东西。
那是⼀只平底锅。
他挥舞着平底锅并且⼤叫：Kipper！Biff！我来这救你们了！
