  Design Concept设计理念
新课标提出:“外国语是学习文化科学知识,获取世界各方面信息和进行国际交往的重要工具。”和“……发展听、说、读、写的基本技能,提高初步运用英语进行交际的能力,……”。
英语课堂教学是学生交际活动和语言习得的过程。只有从组织教学活动入手,大量地进行语言实践,使英语课堂交际化,才能有效地培养学生运用英语进行交际的能力。
结合云南师范大学附属中学设计的协作体年会主题“创新人才培养方式,提高学生综合素质”,课堂教学中注重学生自主学习能力的培养和动手能力的操练。
  Analysis of the Teaching Materials教材分析
俗话说:“天有不测风云,人有旦夕祸福。”在我们的日常生活中,意外事故的发生是不可避免的。我们不能阻止它的到来,但是我们可以尽力将它的危害降到最低。本单元介绍了家庭
看透人生急救的几种简单可行的方法。
“热身”(Warming up) 部分
“阅读”(Reading) 部分是本单元的核心。首先陈述皮肤对人体的重要性,然后介绍烧伤的各种起因、三种不同的烧伤程度以及它们所表现出的主要症状和所应采取的急救措施。既提供了急救的方式,又提供了这种急救小册子的书写格式。
“理解”(Comprehending) 部分设置的四个活动,既有助于培养学生在阅读过程中通过抓关键词来捕捉主要信息的能力,又培养学生运用文中信息解决问题的能力。
  Analysis of the Students学情分析
1. 在背景知识方面:高二学生已经具备了独立思考、独自解决问题的能力。烧伤在生活中经常发生,烧伤的急救知识学生并不具备,至少不是完全清楚的了解。临危不乱、冷静处理是本单元培养的重点。
2. 在英语阅读技能方面:部分学生能自由运用各种阅读技巧,但整体水平有待提高。
3. 在英语词汇量方面:本阅读中词汇基本上都是常见的名词和急救所用的动词,基本不想影响学生对文章的理解。
4. 在英语句法方面:本单元语法重点为省略,本语法项目在之前已经有所涉及,不影响学生课文理解。

1) Enable the students to master some English expressions and phras and to know what is first aid and the necessity of it.

3) Have the students to understand the function of subtitles.

Enable the students to learn how to give their correct suggestions about first aid when others are in danger.

本篇阅读文章选自a quick-reference book。快速阅读课文,找到文章结构,学习类似文章的写法,为作业中写作任务做铺垫。同时注意subtitles的功能。

课文细读过程。
运用任务教学法,设置每一部分的阅读任务。
Part 1: The importance of first aid for burns:
1. How many layers does the skin have?
2. Whats the function of the skin?
→So it is  important to give first aid treatment for burns.
Students read with the questions and understand the importance of giving first aid treatment for burns.
任务:细读回答问题。两个问题均为细节题,问题一为理解第三四部分的基础,问题二体现第一部分的主题。
Part 2: Caus of burns: 新学期的
What can cau burns?
→So wed better protect ourlves against them.
Students speak out aloud the caus of burns together with the help of pictures, and then read the words together after the teacher.
本部分重在提醒学生远离危险,提高自我保护意识。同时借助图片学习词汇。
交友宣言吸引女生Part 3-4: Types and characteristics of burns:

Students read the two parts carefully and then talk about three different degrees of burns, using the key structure.
任务:通过阅读判断烧伤类型。解决实际问题,并学习谈论烧伤类型和特征的句型。

1. Students read part 5 carefully and prepare one question for other students to answer.
2. Pair work: all students exchange the question with their deskmate.
3. A train of students ask and answer questions.
学生自己设置问题提问,能更有效的掌握信息。自己选择回答问题的同学使学生更有成就感。回答同学提出的问题,更有兴趣和挑战性。
