Abstract
Urbanization has been a vital component of economic growth and social transformation in many countries across the globe. Over the years, various countries have implemented different strategies to facilitate urban development, which are determined by their unique social, political, and economic contexts. This paper aims to explore the international experiences of urbanization, and how they can be applied to improve urban development in the western part of China. The paper evaluates the challenges facing western urbanization, the current state of urbanization, and examines the existing urban development policies implemented in western China. Bad on the findings, the paper recommends a comprehensive urbanization approach that takes into consideration the unique challenges and opportunities of western China.
Introduction
Urbanization is a global phenomenon that has transformed the economic, social, and cultural landscape of many countries.
