substrates, and low volatility. It protects polymers as well as organic pigments from UV
radiation, helping to prerve the original appearance and physical integrity of molded
articles, films, sheets, and fibers during outdoor weathering. Beneath the performance as
light stabilizer, veral advantages can be encountered with TINUVIN 312:
n It is a white product, color and transparency are therefore not changed
n It is low volatile and thermally stable.
n It prents an excellent chemical resistance and is not reactive with alcalines.
n It brings additional thermal stability in polyamides.
n It absorbs at low wavelengths, it can be combined with optical brighteners.

the visible region (> 400 nm) of the spectrum. The absorption maximum is at 305 nm in
