摘要：A method and apparatus for installation of a support pier for a structure compris positioning a hollow tube apparatus (18) in a soil matrix (14) wherein the hollow tube apparatus (18) has a hollow core (24) and is susceptible to lateral and longitudinal movement, removing soil from the hollow core (24) and then filling that core with an aggregate (25) followed by raising and lowering of the hollow tube apparatus (18) by a bottom mechanical device (30) in a manner which compacts the aggregate (25) and also applies lateral forces to the aggregate against the walls of the cavity (14) in the soil matrix, pushing a portion of the aggregate (25) into the soil matrix.
