大学推荐是即将录取你的大学向文部科学省推荐你的一种筛选形式。它分为四个类别：普通、特殊项目、satreps和e-asia。横滨国立大学推荐两种类别的学生：普通学生和特殊项目学生。

if you wish to be recommended under the “general” category, plea first look for a suitable academic advisor from thelist of professors for international students . necessary documents must be submitted to the international admissions officefrom january 10th (tue.) to 17th (tue.), 2017 through the academic advisor. (application documents directly submitted by the applicant will not be accepted.) lected candidates are recommended to mext from the university in mid february. mext then conducts a screening and lects tho applicants as scholarship grantees at the end of may.

application for the following fiscal year (april, october) is open between march and may, and the primary screening (documentary examination, written test and interview) is conducted between june and august by the local japane embassies. tho who pasd the primary screening would be able to apply for issuing the “letter of provisional acceptance” from the universities they wish to study at. the universities judge whether the candidates are worth accepting or not, from their application documents. the candidates who successfully obtained the letter of acceptance are commended to mext by the local japane embassy through the ministry of foreign affairs in ptember. mext then conducts a condary screening and lects tho applicants who have found recipient universities as scholarship grantees.

plea nd the following documents to the international admmissions office by email or by post (registered express mail) by the deadline. plea state who you wish your academic advisor to be at the time of nding tho documents.

a copy of the certificate issued by japane embassy or consulate general in your country

copies of documents with the al of japane embassy or consulate general:

application form

placement preference form for japane government (monbukagakusho:mext) scholarship (if included)

field of study and study program

academic transcript

recommendation form(s)

medical certificate

graduation certificate or degree certificate (or an attested document certifying that the applicant will graduate from the school, where applicable)

abstracts of thesis

after examining your application and making the judgment, the international admissions office will inform you the result by email. it normally takes around two weeks if you have obtained academic advisor’s connt in advance, and around two weeks to one month if you have not obtained any connt prior to the application. therefore, make sure to apply for the letter in plenty of time, considering the deadline t by the local japane embassies.

3.公布结果

审核申请并作出决定之前，国际招生办公室会通过邮件通知你。如果申请之前已经征得学术指导的同意，大约需要两周时间收到通知;如果申请之前未征得学术指导同意，大约需要两周到一个月的时间才收到通知。因此，确保在当地日本使馆规定的截止日期之前尽早申请预录取通知书。
