The Rebuilding Epic of Fairy Tale: An Analysis of Tolkien’s The Lord of Rings
Abstract：This thesis grow out of my love of fantasy literature. As the beginning of fantasy literature in western country, The Lord of Rings have attracted million of readers during the past half century becau of its unique feature, and its also influences the generation for a long time. In my thesis, I will try to prove the thesis of The Lord of Rings is solemn, the history and race in middle earth is bad on the old Nor Myths which ru盘驱动程序eally existed in 陕西古镇Europ蔡依林歌e. In the thesis I will analysis this work through the study of Tolkien’s famous theory about fairy story: Secondary World Theory and Tolkien’s perspective员工食堂菜谱 of the epic he offers in Beowulf: The Monsters and the Critics .The Lord of Rings is not just fairy story to children or a daydream of adult, in the fiction, Tolkien try to make the fairy world in his book as real as ancient epic, by this way, he could rebuild some kind of lost epic.

童话视角下的史诗重构：浅析托尔金《魔戒》系列作品
摘要：笔者选择撰写这篇文章初衷源于对于自身对于奇幻文学的喜爱。《魔戒》作为奇幻文学的发端之作，以其独树一帜的创作风格在过去的半个世纪以来吸引了数以万记的读者，同时也对后世的奇幻文学作品产生了深远的影响。原著作者托尔金试图通过这部作品来弥补英国神话传说的空白。笔者将在此篇论文中试图证明《魔戒》的创作主题是严肃的，书中所架构的中土世界的历史风貌和人文种族实际上是基于西方历史真实存在的北欧神话。论文将主要以托尔金关于童话故事创作的“第二世界”理论和托尔金本人在《贝奥武夫——魔怪与批评家》中阐述的对史诗的相关观点出发，对《魔戒》文本中所表现出的童话故事特征和史诗色彩作一说明，说明《魔戒》并非仅仅是写给孩子们的童话故事或是成年人的白日梦，事实上托尔金在这部作品中试图让其所创造的奇境世界和古代史诗一样详实，并想通过这种方式达到重构失落史诗的意义。
