first you must apply for one of our cours. we recommend you submit your application for a cour by friday 28 april 2017. this is so the admissions team have enough time to asss your application and issue you with an applicant number, before the scholarship application deadline. late scholarship applications will not be considered.

apply for a scholarship via your student portal evision, by 31 may 2017 11:59pm (gmt). the application will include a 500 word essay (plea write about activities, achievements and personal qualities relevant to your application). your respons, along with your cour application and grades, will be the main focus of the scholarship panel’s deliberations and should therefore be written carefully and spell-checked. make sure that your application is complete before you submit it. we will not accept incomplete applications and you cannot provide additional information once your application is submitted. you may only apply once.

if you are applying for a cour starting in january 2018 plea do not apply yet. applications for our january 2018 scholarships will open on 1st july 2017. if you apply early your application will not be considered.

dates for 2017/18 scholarships

28 april: you should ensure your cour application reaches brunel by this date. if your cour application is received after this date we cannot guarantee issuing you with an applicant number in time to apply for a scholarship.

31 may 11.59pm (gmt): applications must be submitted by this date. do not leave your application to the last minute! also be sure to check what time 12pm gmt is in your local time.

mid-july: the international scholarship panel will meet in june to consider scholarship awards. in mid-july all applicants will be informed whether or not they have been successful (this may be subject to change if a very large volume of applications are received). successful applicants will be informed in the first instance by email and will be required to respond by email to accept the offer. all decisions will be made by the brunel international scholarship panel. decisions made are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

scholarship awards are decided by the international scholarship panel and all decisions are final. the university will not accept any appeals in respect of the decisions made by the panel.

(4). conditions of payment

scholarship awardees will be responsible for paying the remainder of their tuition fees after the scholarship contribution is deducted from the total fees for the academic year 2017/18.

all awards will compri a £3000 fee waiver from the cost of tuition fees for the academic year 2017/18. this discount is a single contribution and will not be continued in subquent years and is not applicable to any additional fees such as re-submission or module resit fees. no cash alternative will be provided.

the scholarship does not replace the deposit of £3000. all scholarship winners will need to pay the £3000 deposit for their cour in order to receive an unconditional offer and a confirmation of acceptance of studies (cas). the amount of your scholarship will be deducted from the remaining fees.

the scholarships cannot be combined with any other university bursary, discount or awards, except the 2% prompt payment discount. this will be deducted from the tuition fees remaining after the scholarship discount has been applied at enrolment.

scholarship awards will not be credited towards tuition fees until the applicant has fully enrolled at brunel university london, which includes having had their qualifications and other documentation verified and checked, and then completing the university enrolment procedures. this includes holding the correct visa to study.

scholarship awardees who have already paid the full cour fees can visit the student centre to request a refund of any overpayment; once they have met all conditions of their offer and enrolled onto their main cour in person.

successful applicants will not be eligible to apply for this scholarship programme in subquent years (i.e. if you are successful in achieving a scholarship for an undergraduate cour at brunel in year one, you will not be able to apply for the scholarship again in year two, nor will you be able to apply for the scheme again if you choo to do a postgraduate cour at the university).

(5). withdrawal of scholarship

the university rerves the right to withdraw a scholarship from anyone who is found to have misled the university about any aspect of their eligibility and to ek repayment of any monies already paid by appropriate means.

the university rerves the right to withdraw a scholarship from anyone who fails to comply with the requirement to take part in promotional activities, as stated in ction three of the terms and conditions.

a student who withdraws from their chon programme of study prior to completion of term 1 will not normally be requested to repay scholarship payments made up to withdrawal; however, the university rerves the right to charge tuition fees for the period between the start of the cour and the date of withdrawal. a student in receipt of a scholarship who withdraws from their programme will not normally be requested to repay the scholarship. any tuition fee liability remaining at the point of withdrawal is therefore calculated in accordance with the student financial policy.

a student electing to take a period of temporary withdrawal (abeyance) will only receive the scholarship once at the start of the cour. if tuition fees remain due when returning from a period of temporary withdrawal then the would need to be paid upon return.

fee waivers are applied at the start of the academic year as part/all of a scholarship entitlement and will not normally be amended once the fee waiver has been procesd. any tuition fee liability remaining after fee waivers are applied would therefore be calculated in accordance with student financial policy. in the ca of withdrawal or abeyance the tuition fee and the fee waiver are calculated in accordance with student financial policy
