Three Days to See
When I was in nior high school,my headmaster recommended this book to all of his students. It emed that he liked the book best. However ,I had no interest in it at that time. I thought it was like a fairy tale becau it was nearly impossible to become so successful as a blind and deaf girl.Although my headmaster told me veral times to read it carefully—he said the thought the book conveyed would be great materials for my composition and also other benefits---I only read the book’ cover. Until I finish the book this mester---four years later after my teacher’s recommendation---I realize the importance of reading it and my teacher’s good intentions.
It’s purely coincidental that I borrow this book from library and read it.It is an English-Chine version, which is popular among students who don’t like to read English but have to.I am one of them. But when I turn to page one this time,I just choo to read the English part.Actually,it is a challenge for me.Reluctant to say,I ldom read English books. So my reading speed is so slow that I have to spend two or three times time finishing this book. But
now, when I am writing the book report,I feel lucky I just made a right decision. If I didn’t read the English version,I wouldn’t feel so clo to Helen Keller.
The book consists of two parts, the fist part is The Story of My Life, the cond is Three Days to See.From the first part ,I know exactly when the illness deprived her sight and hearing---just 19months later after her birth.I’m sure I can’t imagine how painful it is to such a little girl.No normal people can. When I read in lines ,I feel her desperation and fear.Life is so cruel to her. Before she was ill,she lived a princess’life. She was the first baby in the family. Her parents and relatives loved her so much. When Hellen was one year old,her love for Nature was showed by the ability to walk.Nobody can predict what would happen to her later. When Hellen can’t e and hear anything, life began to be an nightmare to her.She became active, naughty, indifferent to conquences.I suppo it’s effects of her fear.Becau she couldn’t e anybody ,even her mom.She was afraid of the darkness. The loneliness she suffered couldn’t be shared with others. And the world was so quiet to her so that she even couldn’t hear laughters and crying from the surrounding people.I get all the information from Hellen’s calm narration.I think when s狸藻
he decided to tell others her mirable past ,she must be struggling for recalling tho painful experiences. It’s difficult for any of us to do so.Nevertheless, the publishing of this book proved her courage and success. She was like a storyteller, sat there quietly ,telling the audience from the whole word an inspirational story.I’ m one of the listener, and I’m touched by her tone and emotion.
Mark Twain said, there were two outstanding persons in 19th century, one was Napoleon, the other was Hellen Keller. As we all know,Hellen is a brilliant blind female writer and speaker. She lives in darkness the whole life ,but she brings light to so mang people, not only the disabled, but also tho who suffer a lot in life or not.She is an idol of human beings willpower. However,Hellen owes all her success in life and other aspects to Miss Sullivan. She thinks Miss Sullivan is the best teacher to her.She wrote the ntences in Three Days to See:“If ,by some miracle,I were granted three eing days,to be followed by a relap into darkness,I should divide the period into three parts、、、、、、货车运输First I should like to gaze long upon the face of my dear teacher ,Mrs.Anne Sullivan Macy, who came to me when I was a child and opened the outer world
to me.”It reminds me of my favorite teachers in my past school years.Mr Liu was my math teacher when I was in middle school. He was full of enthusiasm energy. In my memories ,he always had a smile on his face when he came into the class. He teached me for two years. The third year in middle school ,I was in another class, and he was not in charge of that class. At the very beginning, I was not accustomed to the new environment ,new class ,especially the new teacher.Besides, there were so many “good”students in the class;the ignorance of me was inevitable.I felt so upt at that time and even cried alone veral times.Mr Liu was the one who helped me like how Miss Sullivan helped Hellen. He invited me to his hou and had a chat with him.He often prepared many sugar for me.When I ate them ,I once thought that was the best taste in the world. He encouraged me to cheer up,becau he believed I was a brave girl ,and I had the ability to adapt to a new environment quickly. He always told me that if I were a piece of gold,I will glow wherever I go.I trusted him as one of my best friend, and decided not to fail him.But for him,I would leave off my study.People may think I magnify the influnences Mr Liu had brought to me .But in my eyes ,he was the “Mr Sullivan”.In a word ,a person influ护彤>清朝官员级别大小排名

From Hellen’s story,I’m impresd deeply not only by her teacher ,but also by her desire and persistence to knowledge. She was a blind ,and a deaf. But she finished her college study. There are so many normal people today who can’t go on further study when they are young. They think it is a torment to sit in a class listening to a old professor’s constantly speaking. But for Hellen ,it is a dream to have this experience. Although she had read many books ,but she thought listening to it in person would be a etenal memory in her mind .What we ignore is the pursuit of Hellen.I remember that when Hellen was a little girl, she announced that some day she shall go to Harvard. It ems ridiculous .How a girl in her condition could do that! But Hellen can and she did it.The thought of going to college took root in her heart and became an earnest desire, which impelled her to enter into competition for a degree with eing and hearing girls. In order to achieve her goal, she took actions. She took many cours ,like English history,English literature,German,Latin, mathematics, physics, algebra, geometry and so on.Its difficulty be
yond our imagination.Only have I read her experience of learning,I have a little understanding about that long and complicated process.I admire her as a hero in mu heart. When I sometimes want to give up ,or be hesitate to do something ,I will think of her.I have to make full u of my time, learning as much as I can.If I were a teacher in the future,I have to tell something to my dear students, not only something in the textbook ,but also something that can make men out of boys.Knowledge is power.I should u this power to fulfil mylf and pass it on to others.
U your eyes as if tomorrow you would be stricken blind. And the same method can be applied to the other ns.Hear the music of voice, the song of a bird,as if you would be stricken deaf tomorrow.Touch each object you want to touch as if your tactile n would fail.Smell the perfume of flowers, taste with relish each morl,as if tomorrow you could never smell and taste again. As a blind, a deaf,Hellen give our normal people tho admonition. That is more than warning ,to some extent,it is a plea.We can e ,hear ,speak as what way we want, but we never try our best to e as much as we can ,to hear as much as we can ,and speak out what we always bury in heart.Becau we never cons
ider there will come a day we would lo one or two ns.Therefore ,we never think about what we will do if we only have three days to e,People always regret when they lo something. However ,it is uless.Maybe as a president of a university,he or she should establish a compulsory cour in “How to U Your Eyes”.The professor would try to show his pupils how they could add joy to their lives by really eing what pass unnoticed before them. That is also what Hellen want to achieve.Of all ns,she is sure that sight must be the most delightful.I agree with her.We can’t cherish our eyes anymore.
