【学法指导】
►greet
及物动词,意为“和……打招呼;迎接”,相当于say hello to或welcome,后接名词或代词作宾语。greet sb.with sth.意为“以某种方式和某人打招呼”。如:
Jane greeted me with a friendly smile.
简友好地向我微笑致意。
►for the first time
表示“首次;第一次”。在句中作时间状语。与其相对应的词组是for the last time,意为“最后一次”。如:
I went to Thailand last year for the first time.
我去年第一次去了泰国。

【学法指导】
►as soon as
意为“一……就……”,引导时间状语从句。遵循“主将从现”原则。当主句是一般将来时、祈使句或含有情态动词的句子时,从句要用一般现在时表将来。如:
I'll call you as soon as he comes back.
他一回来我就给你打电话。
You can go as soon as you finish your work.
你一完成任务就可以走了。
