1. Is Fruit Juice Healthy?
You might think that drinking fruit juice is healthy. But that's not quite true. A recent study published(出版)in US medical journal(期刊) shows that drinking too much juice-even 100-pcrcent natural fruit juice-will increa your risk of early death.
This is mainly becau the drinks have a lot of sugar. According to scientists, drinking too much fruit juice is just like drinking too much soda(汽水) -they both have a lot of sugar. Taking in too much sugar can cau many health problems, such as weight gain, heart dia, and diabetes(糖尿病)usb麦克风. Although there are also vitamins and minerals (矿物质) in fruit juice, the amount is too small to make up for the harm the drinks do.
In the study, "sugary drinks" were defined(定义)蹊跷to include both sugar-sweetened(添加糖的)drinks like soda and IOO-percent natural fruit juice. Scientists found that if people get 10 percent or more of their energy from sugar 加油朋友beverages every day, they will be 44 percent mo
re likely to die from heart dia and 14 percent more likely to die from other dias.
This is why some cities in the US have incread prices for sugary beverages. This will discourage people from buying them. As Jean Welsh, one of the rearchers in the study, told CNN, "Sugary beverages, whether soft drinks or fruit juices, should be limited."
But limited by how much? Scientists say kids between I and 6 years old should drink less than 170ml of fruit juice per day. Adults and children older than 6 should not drink more than 230ml per day.

It was the worst day of Peter's life. He could not stop thinking about what happened just an hour ago on the school soccer field. How could he have misd scoring that goal?
