Accumulators are more commonly known as capacitors and decumulators are known as inductors. Both types of components are ud to store and relea energy, but the way in which they do so differs.
Accumulators, or capacitors, store energy by storing electrical charge. They are constructed from two conductive metal plates parated by an insulating material known as a dielectric. When positive charges build up on one plate, negative charges build up on the other. This results in an electrical field between the two plates that accumulates energy. The amount of energy stored in a capacitor is determined by the capacitance, or ability of the capacitor to absorb and store energy.

Decumulators, or inductors, store energy by storing magnetic flux. They are made from a
coiled wire, and when current is pasd through the coil, a magnetic field is produced. This magnetic field accumulates energy in the same way a capacitor does with electrical charge. The amount of energy stored in an inductor is determined by the inductance, or ability of the inductor to absorb and store energy.
Both capacitors and inductors can be ud to store and relea energy, but depending on the application, one type of component may be a better choice than the other.
