You can’t always predict a heavy rain or remember your umbrella. ①But designer Mikhail Belvacv doesn’t think that forgetting to check the weather forecast before heading out should result in you getting wet. That’s why he created lampbrella, a lamp post with its own rain nsing umbrella.
The designer says he ②come up with the idea after watching people get wet on streets in Russia. “Once, I was driving on a central Saint Petersburg street ad saw the street lamps ③lighting up people trying to hide from the rain. I thought it would be appropriate to have a canopy built into a street lamp.” he said.
The lampbrella is a standard-looking street lamp fitted with an umbrella canopy. It has a built-in electric motor which can open or clo the umbrella ④on demand. Sensors then ensure that the umbrella offers pedestrians shelter whenever it starts raining.
⑤In addition to the rain nsor, there’s also a 360° motion nsor on the fiberglass street lamp which detects whether anyone’s using the lampbrella. After three minutes of not being ud the canopy is clod.
According to the designer, the lampbrella would move at a relatively low speed, so as not to cau harm to the pedestrians. Besides, it would be grounded to protect from possible lighting strike. Each lampbrella would offer enough shelter for veral people. Being installed at 2 meters off the ground, it would only be a danger for the tallest of pedestrians.

除下雨传感器，在玻璃纤维的街灯里也安装有可以检测是不是有人需要灯柱伞的360°运动传感器。若是有三分钟没有人用她就会自动关闭。
据设计者称，灯柱伞会以相对低的速度移动，因此不会对行人造成伤害。除此之外，它会
接地以避免可能的雷击。每一个路灯伞会为多位行人提供足够的遮蔽。它安装在离地面2米高的地方，它唯一的不足是可能给高个子行人带来危险。
