In this unit students are required to:
1. learn some uful words and expressions related to the topics of fame and fortune;
2. learn how to u proper words and expressions to talk about qualities that help people succeed, and to talk about the advantages and disadvantages of fame and fortune;
3. get to know some uful information and knowledge concerning the topics of fame and fortune;
4. conduct a ries of speaking activities to develop their oral English communicative competence.

1.2 Lead-in (about 15 minutes)
1.2.1 Ask students’ some questions:
1) Can you name some famous people you know about?
2) Who impress you most? Why?
1.2.2 Offer students some uful expressions related to the description of famous people

2.2 Pair work (about 12minutes)
2.2.1 Ask students work in pairs and role play
The teacher asks the students to work in pairs and act an interview. Suggest that one student be a reporter and the other the famous person he/she admires. Tell the reporters to take a minute to write down a few questions to ask during the interview.
2.2.2 Offer some uful expressions related to the interview

5) What major contribution did… make? And in what area?
