Abstract:
Reading teaching is the foundation and focus of language teaching, but as an important component of extracurricular reading teaching is the supplementary, extension and development to Class Reading teaching. In quality education today, in the context of the new curriculum, extracurricular reading teaching effectively help students develop
good reading habits, which, for their good foundation for lifelong learning; teaching reading effectively also help to improve their reading level and reading ability, in turn, comprehensively improve their language literacy.
In the new round of curriculum reform, deepening the process of development in depth, our current high school language reading instruction has been made a little progress: the school reading resource-rich than before, and extra-curricular reading activities incread and so forth. But many problems still exist: students reading less time; read the number is low; language reading teachers guide is not in place; some schools, teachers and parents reading the inadequate attention given. Becau of the problems,
the effect of reading has not enough been played, the role of reading has not been fully realized. In this ca, we need to revisit high school to carry out the effect of extracurricular reading. This paper accords to the current situation of high school
extra-curricular language rearch, and made to strengthen high school language reading strategies.
This paper contains three parts: First, t the value of high school language reading capabilities. On
ctrlzthe one hand, that it is an important language education in a prominent position and role. It is the curricular reading supplement and extension of the "big view of language education" to achieve a strong handle, is the reform of language teaching practice new ideas. On the other hand, pointed out that the reading on the growth of high school students is extremely important. It is an important way to enrich the students` knowledge, provide students a comprehensive language literacy important way to influence student life, values and aesthetic formation of the key. Secondly, from the perspective of empirical rearch, by reading the current status of high school language survey, analysis of findings, then point the current high school language reading problems and caus. Finally, analysis on how to u a variety of resources, expand the horizon of
reading, how to improve the quality of language teachers, reading teachers and students how to promote reading symbiotic, how to strengthen the guidance and other aspects of reading to strengthen practical language high school extra-curricular reading strategies, in order for the conduct of high school language reading to provide a realistic approach, nd in the hope that reading can really be effective.
