摘要：PURPOSE:To improve the responsiveness of the above nsor and to reduce the size of the construction thereof by coating the surface of electrodes with a film consisting of a heat resistant material which decompos at a prescribed temp. and forming a film consisting of crystallized glass and ceramics powder so as to coat this film. CONSTITUTION:The electrodes 2, 3 are formed on a solid electrolyte substrate 1 bored with a gas diffusing hole 4 in the central part and a carbon coating film 5 is so formed as to coat the electrode 2. A mixture compod of the crystallized glass and the ceramics powder is applied and printed on the film 5 to form a coated film 6. The carbon evaporates and the vapor thereof is diffud to the outside through the film 6 when the entire part thereof is heated to 900 deg.C. As a result, a space is formed between the electrode and the film 6. Further, the crystallized glass melts to be hermetically joined to the ceramics powder as the temp. ris. The film 6 los the ventilatability. Sealing glass is printed and applied to enclo the film 6 to form a aling part 7. The glass is thereafter calcined, by which the nsor element having the hermetic space aled by the film 6 and the aling part 7 around the electrode 2 is completed.
