摘要：PURPOSE:To prevent blank printing, by a method wherein a reflecting plate is provided at each castte receiving position of a castte housing and detected by a ribbon end nsor when the castte is shifted to a printing position at the time of the non-mounting of the castte to discriminate a ribbon end state to nd a detection signal to a control part. CONSTITUTION:In such a state that a castte housing 3 is mounted, the first ribbon castte (e.g., 2b) is shifted according to predetermined order so as to be t to a printing position and a ribbon end nsor 5 detects the ink ribbon in a castte 2b. At this time, a reflecting plate 7b is not detected by the nsor 5 becau the plate 7b is located behind the ink ribbon. When the ribbon castte reaches a ribbon end, the nsor 5 detects this state and shifts the housing 3 to t the next ribbon castte 2a to the printing position. When no ribbon castte is mounted, the nsor 5 detects the reflecting plate 7b to obtain the same state as the ca reaching the ribbon end and the housing 3 is shifted to t the next castte is not mounted, the nsor detects the reflecting plate to issue an alarm signal.qq账号注册
