摘要：PURPOSE:To enable displaying of a maximum value, a minimum value, and a deflection amount, by a method wherein, when a new input data is larger than a maximum value and a minimum value stored in a memory circuit, a memory value is rewritten and a difference between the maximum value and the minimum value is displayed. CONSTITUTION:Luminous elements 6a, 6b and collecting elements 7a, 7b are situated with a stationary scale 1 and a moving scale 3 between, and a memory circuit is newly installed in a computing circuit 14. In the constitution, positive and negative signals with a 90 deg. difference for the collecting elements 7a, 7b are discriminated by an addition reduction circuit 12, an up-down counter 13 outputs a positive and a negative count number, and the result is compared with the maximum value and the minimum value of the memory circuit. If the absolute value is large, a memory value is rewritten into a new one, and a deflection amount between the maximum value and the minimum value is also computed to individually display them. This permits the display of the deflection amount between the maximum value and the minimum value and enables to perform a multifunctioning.
