摘要：PURPOSE:To enhance stability and speed of a ribbon-lifting operation, by a method wherein a ribbon support ba is lifted through pressing of cams by operating clapper-type electromagnetic driving parts, in a printer. CONSTITUTION:The ribbon support ba 6 for placing a ribbon castte 5 thereon is lifted and supported by a carriage 1. The ribbon support ba 6, which is lifted toward a platen 2, is provided with lifting cams 8, 8a interlocked individually with the first and cond lifting levers 15, 15a, and the lifting heights of the cams are t to be different from each other. The levers 15, 15a are driven individually by the clapper-type electromagnetic driving parts 19, 19a. Limiting to the first lift position by the first stopper 23 is relead by driving the cond lever 15a, and the ba 6 is limited to the cond lift position by the cond stopper 25 by driving the cond lever 15a. Accordingly, the ribbon castte can be lifted up without any repetition, and stability and speed in lifting are enhanced.
