Language is the carrier of culture.Each culture has its unique philosophy and tradition.Therefore,the loss of one language will definitely narrow our perspective of thinking.Many institutions and individuals are striving hard to save endangered languages in order to maintain the diversity of cultures.However,this has not prevented the vanishing of languages at an alarmingly increasing rate.
Meanwhile,language enables people to exchange traditions,ideas,and views more effectively.Social
connections and global perspectives are established mainly through the u of language,which enables global citizens to face global challenges together.So,the inability of using language to communicate with others would inevitably become a barrier to global citizenship.

The relationship between national identity and global identity is not in
conflict.The foundation for global citizenship is the recognition of the equal and inalienable rights of all human beings.That is,every global citizen is accountable for the well-being of humans both inside and outside his/her own country.Global citizens take action together to defeat poverty,protect the planet,and improve equity,all of which require a global solution and concerted action.With joint efforts,the multiplicity and diversity of humans are recognized and respected.
A global citizen is suppod to recognize the shared beliefs and interests of all human beings and retain his/her national identity.For example, Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela made great contribution to the elimination of racial discrimination.Meanwhile,he promoted the development of his motherland South Africa.

First,learn about the world.We can learn about specific countries or cultures on the Internet and by exchanging both shared and contrasting life experiences with others across the world.Being fully informed about other countries,we can establish cross-cultural friendships and develop a comprehensive way of thinking.
Second,cultivate values,attitudes,and social skills through traveling.We can experience diver cultures in different countries through obrving the lifestyle and attitudes of people there.In this way,we can understand and respect local traditions to become socio-emotional global citizens. Third,think about what actions we can take to impact others.To uphold the rights of global citizens living in different countries,we should make sure the actions we take will not benefit one group of people at the expen of others.

fulfilled in an instant,manifesting another milestone in human evolution. Man shall develop at an unprecedented pace.The pessimistic camp,on the other hand,deems the“brave new world”as a catastrophic threat to human society.They frown at the possible ethical dilemmas and shiver at the dazzling expansion of the computer’s territory.
The Matrix ries,like many artistic works,does not aim at providing definite answers to this issue.They make us think.And think twice.

As individuals,we can take part in volunteer activities,such as supporting farmers and agriculture,relieving poverty,and protecting the environment and animals.We can also influence people around us to join in tho volunteer activities.
Meanwhile,college organizations like Student Unions or School Associations can work with companies to help relieve poverty and protect the planet.Some companies can offer jobs to people li
ving in poverty.In this way,they can not only help the people get out of poverty but also contribute to the development of society.Besides,some biotechnology or environmental companies can help to protect the planet with professional techniques.
