02074/74 Heading F4R [Also in Divisions H1 and H2] A bulbholder compris a body 10 adapted to receive the ba 16 of a bulb 17, at least one flange 11 for mounting the holder on a support 19, and a plurality of deformable legs 12 connecting the or each flange to the body. The ba 16, which is provided with recess and projections (not shown), is first inrted into the body 10 where it is held by clips (13), dimples (14) and lips (15) (Figures 1-3, not shown). The holder and bulb are then inrted into a tting jig and the bulb is adjusted relative to the flanges 11, by deforming the legs 12, until the filament is accurately located. Holes 21 are then punched in the flanges 11 to register with holes 22 in the support 19 and the body 10 is removed from the tting jig and cured to the support 19 by eyelets extending through the holes. The bulb leads 20 are then soldered to terminals (not shown) on the rear side of the support 19, one of them being pasd over a projection (18) on the body to prevent subquent dingagement of the bulb from the holder and the support. The support is finally positioned in a lamp unit so that the bulb projects through an aperture at the back of the lamp reflector. In a modification (Fig. 8, not shown) the flanges (111) are provided with arcuate lips (111a) adapted to be cured by brazing to an annular support (119).
