Starting a new book is a risk, just like falling in love. You have to commit to it. You open the pages knowing a little bit about it maybe, from the back or from a blurb on the front. But who knows, right Tho bits and pieces arent always right.
Sometimes people adverti themlves as one thing and then when you get deep into it you realize that theyre something completely different. Either there was some good marketing attached to a
terrible book, or the story was only explained in a superficial way and once you reach the middle of the book, you realize theres so much more to this book than anyone could have ever told you.

You start off slow. The story is beginning to unfold. Youre unsure. Its a big commitment lugging this tome around. Maybe this book wont be that great but youll feel guilty about putting it down. Maybe itll be so awful youll keep hate-reading or just t it down immediately
and never pick it up again. Or maybe youll come back to it some night, drunk or lonely needing something to fill the time, but it wont be any better than it was when you first started reading it.
Maybe youre worn out. Youve read tons of books before. Some were just light weights on a Kindle or Nook, no big deal really. Others were Infinite Jest-style burdens, heavy on your back or in your pur. Weighing you down all the time. Born to Win
Each human being is born as something new, something that never existed before. Each is born with the capacity to win at life. Each person has a unique way of eing, hearing, touching, tasting and thinking. Each has his or her own unique potentialscapabilities and limitations. Each can be a significant, thinking, aware, and creative beinga productive person, a winner.
The word winner and lor have many meanings. When we refer to a person as a winner, we do not mean one who makes someone el lo. To us, a winner is one who responds authentically by being credible, trustworthy, responsive, and genuine, both as an individual and as a member of a society.
Winners do not dedicated their lives to a concept of what they imagine they should be; rather, they are themlves and as such do not u their energy putting on a performance, maintaining pretence and manipulating others. They are aware that there is a difference between being loving and acting loving, between being stupid and acting stupid, between being knowledgeable and acting knowledgeable. Winners do not need to hide behind a mask.
Winners are not afraid to do their own thinking and to u their own knowledge. They can parate facts from opinions and dont pretend to have all the answers. They listen to others, evaluate what they say, but come to their own conclusions. Although winners can admire and respect other people, they are not totally defined, demolished, bound, or awed by them.
