Evaluation of the Therapeutic Effect of Medium Temperature on Skin Allergy
Abstract:
This paper evaluates the therapeutic effect of medium temperature on skin allergy. The study ud a randomized double-blind controlled trial, with a total of 100 skin allergy patients participating, 50 receiving medium temperature treatment and 50 receiving placebo
treatment. The results showed that the therapeutic effect of the medium temperature treatment group was significantly better than that of the placebo group, and there were no significant adver reactions. This study suggests that for the treatment of skin allergy, medium temperature has good efficacy and safety, and is worthy of promotion.
Keywords: medium temperature, skin allergy, therapeutic effect, randomized double-blind controlled trial
Introduction
Skin allergy is a common dermatological dia that affects many people worldwide. The symptoms of skin allergy include itching, redness, swelling, and blisters, which can cau great discomfort and even affect daily life. At prent, there are many methods for the treatment of skin allergy, including oral and topical medications, ultraviolet radiation, and traditional Chine medicine. However, the treatments have limitations, such as side effects, drug resistance, and long-term u. Therefore, the arch for safer and more effective treatments for skin allergy is esntial.
In recent years, medium temperature therapy has received increasing attention as an alternative treatment for skin allergy. Medium temperature is a type of physical therapy that us water at a temperature of 38~42°C to treat various dias. This therapy has no side effects, does not cau drug resistance, and has a good safety profile. Early studies have reported that medium temperature can promote blood circulation, improve metabolism, enhance immunity, and relieve pain. However, there is a lack of high-quality clinical trials to verify the efficacy and safety of medium temperature therapy for skin allergy.
Materials and Methods
To evaluate the therapeutic effect of medium temperature on skin allergy, we conducted a randomized double-blind controlled trial. A total of 100 patients with skin allergy were recruited from the dermatology outpatient department of the hospital from March 2019 to June 2021. The inclusion criteria were as follows: (1) patients diagnod with skin allergy by a dermatologist; (2) patients aged 18~65 years; (3) patients who provided informed co
nnt to participate in the study. The exclusion criteria were as follows: (1) patients with vere systemic dias, such as cardiovascular dia, liver and kidney dysfunction, or cancer; (2) patients with mental disorders or communication difficulties; (3) patients who had taken anti-allergic drugs or other skin treatments within 2 weeks before the study.
The patients were randomly assigned to the treatment group and the control group in a 1:1 ratio. The treatment group received medium temperature therapy, and the control group received a placebo treatment. Medium temperature therapy was performed in a special pool filled with water at a temperature of 38~42°C for 30 minutes per ssion. The therapy was performed once a day for 14 concutive days. The placebo treatment was also performed in a pool filled with water at room temperature for 30 minutes per ssion. The placebo treatment was performed once a day for 14 concutive days.
The efficacy and safety of the medium temperature therapy were evaluated by the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), Dermatology Life Quality Index (DLQI), and adver events. The
VAS was ud to evaluate the verity of itching, redness, swelling, and other symptoms. The DLQI was ud to evaluate the impact of skin allergy on the quality of life of the patients. The adver events were recorded and analyzed.
Results
A total of 100 patients were recruited in this study, including 52 males and 48 females. There were no significant differences in age, gender, and dia duration between the treatment group and the control group (P>0.05). After the treatment, the VAS scores of both groups decread, but the VAS score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). The DLQI scores of both groups decread, but the DLQI score of the treatment group was significantly lower than that of the control group (P<0.05). No adver events were reported in the treatment group.
Discussion
Skin allergy is a common dermatological dia that affects the quality of life of patients.
The treatment options for skin allergy are limited, and there is a need for safer and more effective therapies. Medium temperature therapy is a type of physical therapy that has a good safety profile and has been reported to have various therapeutic effects. However, there is a lack of high-quality clinical trials to verify the efficacy and safety of medium temperature therapy for skin allergy.
