阅读理解
英语阅读能力向来是英语考试的要点，每个高校在自主招生英语试题设计中也对阅读理解部分给予了较高的权
重，均匀在两篇以上。 2010 年五校自主招生联考更是只由阅读理解和写作两个部分构成。此部分题材波及面特别广，
有社会问题、历史文化、经济、时势焦点、人物列传、科普文章、文学读物等。但此部分的题型较为传统，为单项选
择题，题型包含细节题、 推测题、 词义或短语意思题、 文章或段落粗心题， 与大学英语四、 六级考试的阅读较为相像。
但也会出现一些变化形式，如简洁回答下列问题，或许如 2010 年五校自主招生联考的阅读形式——从 A 到 F 6 个选项中
选用 5 个并填进相应的空缺中。 下边我们就分别对传统的阅读理解题目和新式题目进行分析， 剖析其考察要点和答题
技巧。
传统题型

A thorough market analysis and plan are esntial for starting a new venture or deciding
whether an existing one should
be terminated or expanded. Many business and programs have failed becau the importance of the steps was
underestimated. The market rearch, analysis, and plan should be conducted by a qualified company employee or
departmental official or by an experienced third party. The most important point is that it must be finished before a decision is made to proceed.

Repeated business failures, which can be attributed to a lack of market rearch and planning, occurred in many of the

Some failures were undoubtedly due to poor management, others to undercapitalization or poor economic conditions. But many were caud by an inadequate understanding of the market being rved.
Many of the products carried by the specialty stores were also offered by large department or .discount stores, often
located in the same shopping center. The department and discount stores frequently had a distinct price advantage. For the specialty shops, the problem was a lack of competitive knowledge, which only comes from market analysis and planning.
Patently ridiculous examples of poor market planning are locating a Cadillac dealership in the center of a poor district
and opening a Japane specialty food store in a predominantly Italian neighborhood.
But the extreme examples highlight the esntial lesson: the importance of knowing th
e market to be rved.
